With the aim of raising funds for this years trip to Newday we are holding another Promise Auction.  We hope to raise more than the £2000 in 2011 which helped subsidised a number of teens to attend Newday and also pay for various other needs such as marquees, coaches and other requirements.

How does it work?  The general idea behind a promise auction is that you are selling your skills, time, experience, abilities or just energy to the highest bidder.  We hope that people will pay top price for your skills whilst at the same time, you come along and pay top price for someone elses..!

Bible by the Beach at the Congress Theatre & Winter Gardens Eastbourne  over a May holiday weekend.  Excellent Bible teaching from speakers including Stephen Gaukroger, Rico Tice and many others. Also including worship led by Stuart Thownend and small scratch band from Hailsham

Together @ Plumpton Postcard 2012 (1)

Plumpton 2012 is on and looking to be bigger and better than ever so book your holiday now!  The dates for 2012 are the school half term 6th to Sun 10th June.  prices remain the same @ £35 for adults, £10 for students and young ones up to 13 years of age and Year 6 children and under go FREE!!!

Will be at 6.30pm at St Mary’s on the four Sundays in March.  The speaker will be Glen Scrivener, former curate of All Souls, Eastbourne who now works for Revival Media in Eastbourne.  Recommended as an excellent preacher.

On Sunday 5th February we are holding a tea at Emmanuel, 4.30 – 6.00, for everyone who has joined the church within the last 6 months. Nick & Carol Phelps are organising this event and will be distributing invitations.

We urgently need 2 more people to join a task team next month and thereafter every fourth month. See Paul Endersby if you can help.

All the churches in Hailsham join together on Friday 3rd March at St Wilfred’s Church for a service to celebrate women worldwide.  The speaker will be Lindsey Benn, wife of the Bishop of Lewes.  As a preparation for this there will be a coffee morning on Friday 3rd February 9.30 – 12.00 in St Mary’s Church Lounge.  It would be good if many from this church could go along to get to know other Christian women in the town.

Shooting Stars   Sunday morning group for children urgently needs more helpers.  If you can help please see Jo Endersby.
